Akkodis is looking for Material Flow Engineer, you will coordinate multiple projects related to material flow, prioritize based on business needs, and design systems to support the production process. Your role will involve collaboration across functions, project management, and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and safety.
Note: This is a 52-week contract with a pay rate of $$33.00 per hour. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of automotive-related experience, possess strong 3D modeling skills, and exhibit expertise in material flow and logistics.
Role Responsibilities:
- Coordinate material flow processes for production trials and model changes.
- Design part flow and material routing for Body and Assembly production.
- Prioritize equipment needs and support Material Flow projects from business case approval through implementation.
- Lead activities between Logistics and Material Flow planning for safe and efficient processes.
- Review Logistics concepts for packaging design and project coordination.
- Develop production processes meeting safety standards, quality standards, and regulations.
- Benchmark systems in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Create a continuous improvement environment for a best-in-class production system.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize production delays.
- Develop systems to meet KPIs and analyze data for performance improvements.
- Identify requirements for vehicle structure improvement.
- Monitor safety, quality, cost, and productivity with improvement activities.
